Located in one of the most beautiful hiking and mountain areas in South Tyrol, at the foot of the legendary Catinaccio and Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 26 June 2009 – lies Gasthof Edelweiss with its peaceful guesthouse and new ‘Piog’ building.

Situated at the very heart of the Dolomites, this is the perfect holiday resort if you’re looking to relax or love being active in the great outdoors. For over 80 years, we have been welcoming guests into our family atmosphere, focusing on carefully-selected, fresh and creative cuisine whilst respecting nature. Our guesthouse

Now in its third generation, the Gasthof Edelweiss has lost nothing of its original, cosy and traditional charm, despite being successfully renovated.

The guesthouse has a bar with lounge area (Wi-Fi), an à la carte restaurant and terrace with awning, a breakfast and dining room with winter garden and a sauna area with whirlpool and relaxation room ‘above the rooftops’.

There is also a separate ski room which can be accessed from outdoors, where you can store your hiking boots, snowshoes and equipment for your mountain and winter tours, along with a boot dryer. Windows with soundproofing make your stay even more pleasant and ensure a good night’s rest! Large, secure car park and garage for motorcycles and mountain bikes as well!

‘Piog’ – annex and climate house

The new, modern, 4-star rooms in the nearby new ‘Piog’ – climate house – annex are 30 m², have a modern, spacious bathroom and are equipped with furniture in natural wood – oak and brushed pine – and a natural, smoked oak wooden floor.

Sitting area, safe, Internet connection (Wi-Fi) in the rooms, LCD Tvs – digital and satellite reception –  floor and wall heating, 8 m² south-facing balcony with seating areas, large window front with views of Catinaccio and the meadows and forests. For a relaxing holiday in the Dolomites. Absolutely peaceful location!

Our guest house – ‘UnterPiog’

The nearby guest house is situated in an absolutely peaceful location, nestling among green meadows and overlooking King Laurin’s Catinaccio. The building is located below our large car park with garage for motorcycles and mountain bikes –  approx. 20 metres from the guest house. Lawn for sunbathing and play areas for children.
